Danielle Hughes

Hello, I'd like to introduce myself.  I am Danielle Hughes, a Southern California music artist. I enjoy covering a fairly wide range on guitar of early, classic folk/rock tunes and my own original songs.  I play at local wineries, private/public events, weddings, open mic nights and host a monthly, May through October Wine and Jam with my husband and fellow artists from our local community at Three Hill's Winery in Ramona, Ca.  I recently served as our church worship leader both here in California and while living in Texas   Currently I continue to be a part of various Christian worship teams.  Over the years I have written and recorded original Christian and folk songs, and a musical drama. Some of these are available on this website and other social media platforms.  

I have been interested in music since my youth.  It all began when my older brother had received a guitar from my father that he brought from Argentina.  The next trip my father took, he brought me a child size guitar and off I went!  One exciting milestone I remember well was making my first studio recording while in college in Northern California. Years later my husband and I went to Kansas to record a few more original Christian songs with some wonderful musicians/friends we had met through our website music ministry called Christian Originals that we ran for six years.  Early on, people commented my strong lyrics and story-telling style which set me apart and helped give me a unique voice. Through the years my music helped open many doors for church, weddings, career jobs, and invitations to private and public events. I was always grateful to God for these opportunities.

My most recent recording is called "Where Does Time Hide" (story included on my Original Music page) and was on our local Ramona Radio internet station. It is also available on this website. In 2023, my song "Ramonna Country Life" was selected for the 2023 Ramona group compilation music CD disk.  I was blessed to have my second original Ramona song called "Just A Little" selected for the upcoming 2025 Ramona compilation music CD .  I also submitted some original artwork in hopes of having it selected to be on the cover of our 2025 Ramona music compilation disk!  This is included on this page! :>
